How To Choose Fender Guitar Cases
Nov 3rd, 2009 by admin

If you have just splashed out on an expensive fender guitar you need to make sure it does get damaged in anyway. If your guitar gets knocked around then the sound and tone can get dramatically altered, also scratches will really lessen the value of this most prized possession. To protect you pride of joy you need to choose one of the many fender guitar cases. They are well worth the investment.

There are a number of reasons why you should buy a fender case -

1. Pride: A fender guitar is no ordinary musical instrument. It is a work of art that has been designed and manufactured by craftsmen with a long history. It is an object that should be treasured and well looked after.

If you own a fender guitar you will feel immensely proud of yourself and will be only to happy to tell other musicians about your possession. A good solid case will help to ensure that the guitar stays in its full working order. Your pride will soon disappear if the neck gets bent or the body gets chipped. All fender cases are specially designed to protect your guitar from all forms of knocks and damage.

2. Resale Value: It is likely that after a couple of years you may want to sell you guitar on and buy yourself a new model. By keeping your instrument safe and secure with a fender case you can be guaranteed that the resale value is not going to depreciate drastically as it will remain in a good condition.

3. Investment value: Some people want to keep their guitars as an investment. This is certainly possible with fender models. If you plan to place your guitar in long term storage then you can be rest assured that a fender case will keep it in the same condition no matter how many years it will be stored for.

If you can put a fender away for thirty years then it can be worth a large amount of money when you come to sell it. Even the fact that it has an original fender case with it will increase its worth.

Guitar cases come in three different forms. There is the hard shell, soft shell, and gig bag. You need to decide which is best for your needs.

Each form has its own particular purpose. Bear in mind that they will also have different weights and sizes depending upon what they are designed for.

Today electric guitars are as popular as any time since their origin in the 1950s. When buying an electric guitar there are a host of important considerations. It is always sensible to choose a well know brand that has great sound otherwise no matter what your experience, you are unlikely to enjoy playing it. Many people, both experienced and novice, choose to get hold of a fender guitar. One of the most important factors is the body. Its style has become iconic the world over. There are different versions of the Stratocaster body to suit individual styles -

Mexican bodies: These use a sought after design that looks incredibly impressive no matter who is holding it. They work with most American Standard parts.

American bodies: This fender body has a beautiful shape with a great finish. They are wonderful to look at and come in a range of colors. They can only be used with the two-point tremolo system.

Custom shop bodies: if you are after the top of the range body then this is it. They produce an awesome sound, perfect fit, and can be had in a variety of colors.

Apart from the above mentioned Stratocaster bodies there are other types available that certain guitarists prefer. A Fender Tele body is the choice of musicians from Keith Richards to Jeff Beck. It was also a favorite of George Harrison. Today it has found favor amongst country music composers and aficionados. It can be used with a host of different pick ups and is popular for many an experienced musician. It is often manufactured from beautiful alder wood.

Another popular choice is the Fender Jazz body. It has been used by many classic rock guitarists such as Timothy B Schmidt of The Eagles as well as John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin.
